Helen founded High-Rise Communications in 2016, after several years in senior strategy and communications roles at the British Red Cross. She has over 20 years’ communications experience and is a fellow of the RSA and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Working at the Red Cross inspired Helen to set up an agency which specialised in supporting clients that help build happier and healthier communities, with clients including Transform Lives, the People’s Powerhouse, Laid Bare Theatre, Reach Volunteering, Hope Mill Theatre, the Modernist Society and Citizens Advice.
Luke has been working with High-Rise Communications since February 2017, and was the first intern that has been hired by High-Rise.
After completing a B.A. in English Language from the University of Manchester, Luke decided to stay on at the Alliance Manchester Business School to study an MSc in Corporate Communications and Reputation Management. This means that Luke has a good understanding of how the industry works – but is still open to learning the tips and tricks of the trade!
Says Luke: “Since starting at High-Rise I’ve definitely been given opportunities that I wouldn’t have got elsewhere, helping me gain valuable experience and insight. It’s really stretched my abilities much more than a regular communications internship would (i.e. making the teas)!”
Amy has been working with High-Rise Communications since August 2017. After completing a BA (Hons) degree in Linguistics at The University of Manchester, Amy then studied towards an MSc in Marketing at the Alliance Manchester Business School. Through her studies of Corporate Social Responsibility and volunteer experience, Amy developed a strong ethical viewpoint and became passionate about making a positive social impact.
